Through the forms of Nordic style larp and Situationist play, I am challenging cultural spectatorship, prioritising participants social agency and a total embodiment of the work. I often use movement and the sensory experience to inquire into non-human perspectives, utopic thinking, magic, and climate justice, in my work.

Larp stands for live action role play but it used as a standalone term. Nordic larp refers to a genre of larp originating in the Nordic countries which prioritises the playing experience, through narrative, emotions and techniques, often exploring social or political themes. Its a collaborative form of improvised storytelling with parallels to improvised theatre, yet it is performed without an audience, or a subjective audience of one.

Situationist play begins with the movement of psychogeography, a pseudo-scientific mapping of emotions relating to physical urban space. It is performative without being a performance, only the subject realises the interaction with public space and the associated emotions and episodes of serendipity attached. Through the deconstruction of socially constructed realities, it becomes a space for new worlds to exist.
